INDIA: BROTHERHOOD DAY AND NEW POSTULANTS

 

CELEBRATING BROTHERHOOD

The word “Brother” in the ancient times was understood as relationship, as friend or citizen etc. People also believed that mankind in a one big family and that all human beings are brothers. The word Brother represents a significant way of being in the ecclesial community in which he is the prophetic memory of Jesus. So, Brother is basically a relation. Hence Brotherhood is basically a relationship towards other humans, and it has been the quest of the human community for many centuries. Brotherhood is not just build on blood relations or countrymen but it is on common election by God’ a common Father. As sons of the universal father, the children of the universal Father-God. That is the Reason why Jesus called his disciples as Brothers and he said to them “You are all Brothers”

Every year on Oct 4th we celebrate this feast of Brotherhood in honour of St. Francis of Assisi who is the inspiration to this great vocation to Brotherhood. This year in the communities of India have celebrated with great Joy. On this day we remember the vocation to Brotherhood and What is to be a Brother. we recall our vocation to Brotherhood. This day we started our celebration with the Eucharist. All the Brothers wore the traditional habit and participated in the Eucharist joyfully, thanking for the gift of Vocation to Brotherhood and for callings to exercise this gift of Brotherhood under the roof of Nazareth in the Congregation of the Brothers of the Holy Family and we also Prayed for our entire Congregation. We End-up our celebration with the Eucharistic Adoration praying for the new vocations to our Congregation. We choose a sentence for this celebration: “EACH BROTHER IS A GIFT OF GOD TO BROTHERHOOD”

ENTRANCE IN THE POSTULANCY

On 10 October, three young Indians entered the Postulancy: A. Francis Xavier, Aswin Soreng and Y. Beski. The first and the last are from the state of Tamil Nadu and the second from the state of Odisha. The simple ceremony took place in the chapel of the formation house in Eluru where the Brothers of the Community and the formees were present. The new postulants had been admitted by the Provincial and his Council a few days earlier. Brother Javier (Master of Postulants) pronounced the formula of admission and gave them the book of the Liturgy of the Hours. The postulants will continue their formation process in the formation house in Eluru.

RACIMO IBEROAMERICANO: ENCUENTROS DE EQUIPOS VOCACIONALES, CANDIDATOS Y FORMANDOS

El día 9 de octubre los equipos de animación vocacional del racimo iberoamericano tuvieron un encuentro. Se reunieron 15 animadores vocacionales de Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, España y Uruguay. El Hermano Valcir animó la oración. Cuatro fueron los asuntos tratados: compartir lo aprendido en los diferentes cursos de pastoral vocacional en los que se participaron, la preparación del encuentro con los jóvenes de pastoral juvenil programado para el 11 diciembre, la revisión de las tareas del trimestre acordadas en la Hoja de ruta y, por último, se dieron algunas informaciones y se hicieron algunas invitaciones, mayormente relacionadas con nuestra presencia vocacional en internet.

El día 24 de octubre, jornada mundial de las misiones, los candidatos y formandos de América Latina tuvieron un encuentro en el que también participaron los formadores y animadores vocacionales. 18 fueron los participantes. El Hermano Roberto animó la reunión. En un primer momento, el más extenso, cada uno fue compartiendo sus experiencias misioneras de ayuda a los demás. Después se aportaron algunas ideas para el encuentro vocacional con los jóvenes de la pastoral Sa-Fa del 11 de diciembre. En encuentro concluyó con el deseo de volver a encontrarse en las Nazareadas de los sábados.

BURKINA: ÉCHOS DU JUVENAT SAINT JOSEPH DE SÃABA

La communauté éducative du juvénat saint Joseph de Sãaba a célébrée une messe Eucharistique en unions de cœur avec les parents, amis et sympathisants, ce dimanche 03 octobre 2021 à la chapelle du Juvénat à Sãaba à 7h du matin tenant lieu de messe de rentrée.

Au cours de cette célébration, ils ont accueilli les nouveaux juvénistes et témoignager leur gratitude à certains membres de la communauté éducative appelés à d'autre missions.

THE PHILIPPINES: month of vocations

 

The month of September was celebrated as month of vocation. Some special details have been added to this month. One of the unique features of the month of vocation was our publications in the Facebook pages of Asia. We chose many calls from the Bible and created a post on that content and it was published everyday through which we have new followers of our pages through which the concept of "Vocationing on the internet" was applied as means of application to real life. It was well done and successful. I appreciate the contribution made by our postulant of Philippines who collaborated to make this initiative of vocationing on the internet come true.

ECUADOR: Renovación de votos

Los días 25 y 26 de septiembre en un ambiente fraterno se tuvo la asamblea de Hermanos en Ambato, asistiendo de manera presencial los Hermanos de Ecuador y de manera telemática los Hermanos de Colombia. El compartir alegre en medio de las reuniones de programación son de los momentos que van avivando la vocación y el Espíritu de Familia.

En este contexto y sintiéndome entusiasmado de este estilo de vida, renové mi consagración a Dios. La familia religiosa que me acogió es la que va sembrando en mi el amor de nuestro Padre Dios, que se manifiesta en cada aspecto de mi vida cotidiana. La clase con los chicos, el compartir con mis Hermanos de comunidad, la pastoral vocacional del Vicariato de Puyo y un sin número de actividades realizadas en este año me han hecho sentirme seguro que este es el que camino que me lleva a Dios y me motiva a seguirlo.

Ø  Los días 24 y 25 de septiembre tres miembros de la comisión de vocaciones, apoyados por la colaboración de los hermanos Juan Andrés y Jorge,  estuvimos en Madrid presentando  a la comunidad de Hermanos y a las comunidades de jóvenes y de adultos del Colegio, materiales vocacionales y  actividades para conocer nuestro carisma y  seguirlo.

Ø  Fue una invitación a colaborar en esta propuesta vocacional con nuestra presencia, con nuestro testimonio de vida fraterna y cristiana y con la participación en actividades concretas: difusión de propaganda, experiencias comunitarias: convivencias,  encuentro fraterno en una comunidad de Hermanos,  visita a los lugares donde nació el Hermano Gabriel…

GHANA: working togheter in the vocational animation

The vocations need to be looked for. And when found, they should nursed.

The Tamale archdiocesan team for vocations understood it very well.

Therefore, the Wednesday 22nd September, as a team, the vocations directors of the various congregations met to plan some activities for the year. And they have planned to visit two schools for vocations matters.

The 26th of September, two secondary schools have been visited. And we talked to them about vocations. They were happy to hear this. As they have finished writing their final exams, they should also think of entering to the religious or priestly life, did we tell them. They were more than hundred who listened to our message.
