6.- Creative restlessness.

 

Then there is the interest to go further in two ways: on the physical side, that is to say, to move without staying at the door of the house, to go for miles and miles to reach the last corner where no one goes (the peripheral villages), to widen every year the field of action; and on the other hand, not to be satisfied with what has been done up to the moment, being creative in the proposals, trying new things that others do not do; and taking advantage of the cracks, all the opportunities that appear however they may seem insignificant. Obviously, this requires sacrificing the tendency to comfort.

 

Exploring the maximum. The task of vocational animation is also an opportunity to know the other parts of the world. We need to keep open always our areas of exploration and never make end. The invitation of Pope Francis to “go to the peripheries”, reaching new places of our world where no one goes or tries to go.

 

Looking to the further destinations. We need to keep our destination as far as possible. The further we go, the furthest we get. Every year based on the experiences we had, we need to broaden our targeted destinations, trying to reach a new area, diocese or country. It is an endless journey. The experience teaches that we have to invest many hours and travel many kilometers.

 

Never satisfy with minimum. On our journey as vocation animators we should never say what we have done is enough. This attitude can bring a full stop to our work. Based on the experiences we gain from the previous years, we need to continue adding more spices to our mission, so it becomes tastier and more fruitful. This means we need to think and to make our mission more creative year by year. It is the richness of our mission, and besides this enriches those who share this task with us.

 

We are invited to implement the vocation ministry going out to the vocational peripheries at different levels: Institute (foundations in new countries with vocational possibilities as it has been done in the last years: Benin, Ghana, Angola), Provinces and Delegations (the teams and commissions looking for new places where to do vocational animation) and communities (designing the means and activities that creativity suggests). In practice, at the end, it will be specific Brothers who are vocational animators, with a propositive and innovative vision, who will be the spearhead and the motor to go beyond what has already been done or experienced.
