7.Relationships and personal contact.
Relationships and
personal contact through the follow-up and vocational discernment through
visits (school, family, meetings...) and personal contact (phone calls,
WhatsApp, Messenger, letters...) are indispensable. This requires audacity,
effort and perseverance.
In
communion with the local Church and social structures:
- Contact with the
vocation animators of the dioceses to request permission to do vocational animation
and to participate in the activities they program by the diocesan vocation
ministry.
- Contact with the priests
and catechists of the parishes to do vocational animation in the same, either
in the Sunday Eucharist or with the catechetical groups. They can suggest some
young people who has interest and possibilities to do process with us.
- Contact with the principals
and teachers (especially of religion) of the schools to obtain permissions,
arrange visits and maintain contact with the students.
Relationship with the candidates and their families:
- Personal and regular
contact with the candidates through phone calls, video conferences, WhatsApp,
Messenger, letters... to be interested in their situation and follow up through
worksheet. It is important to know the candidate, as well as that he knows us,
to offer him information to awaken his interest in us, creating a relationship
of empathy.
- Contact with the
families of the candidates by means of phone calls or visits to make us known,
to know the family reality, to clarify doubts, to create trust and to give the
necessary information so that the inconveniences for the entry in the formation
house are solved.
- Sometimes this first
period of mutual acquaintance is prolonged in time by various situations, this
is why it is necessary to establish, by mutual agreement, regular contact or
accompaniment that will involve sending materials, answers from the candidate
or periodic interviews.
How many people do I relate to when carrying out vocational animation?
How is my relationship with the agents and recipients of vocation animation:
vocational animators, parish priests, catechists, principals, teachers,
families, candidates?
